Licensees are required to complete 24 credit hours of continuing education every 2 years. Those listed below are exempt from the c.e. requirement:
Licensees in their first renewal period that have not had their license for more than 2 years. Those licensed before January 1, 1980, even if the license has not been continuous. If they are a non-resident and their home-state has requirements. If they are licensed as a limited lines, travel insurance producer, or they have a temporary insurance license.
Exams are non-monitored.
Courses may not be repeated.
Licensees may carryover up to 8 excess credit hours to the next renewal period.
Reporting of credits to the state is not required. Certificates of course completion must be retained by agent for proof of completion.
